Updated: 6/6/2021
The first day of summer is less than a month away, but to experience a summer in this city PROPERLY, you need to be on someone’s rooftop taking in the views of The Big Apple. Check out my list of all the rooftops where the drinks are refreshing, and the views are unforgettable.
Vida Verde
Vida Verde has the hottest rooftop for dining in Midtown and perfect for Summer Friday season. This bi-level contemporary Mexican restaurant has a vibrant roof includes a beautiful mural of Frida Kahlo done by Victor Quinonez, the perfect amount of greenery, and colorful tables and chairs. Check out my full review here.
Refinery Rooftop
Rooftop bars are a beautiful escape from this concrete jungle, but what better way to see this enchanting city? With an abundance of rooftop bars in New York City, the possibilities are endless. If you are going to do a rooftop bar you might as well go somewhere you can make sure rain, sleet, or snow you are going to get a great view. Check out my full review of Refinery Rooftop here.
CitizenM Bowery Rooftop (Cloud m)
This Lower East Side hotel opened in September of 2018 and therefore this rooftop is not on everyone’s radar just yet! With reasonable prices in comparison to other rooftops, I see this becoming a popular spot soon. #DomBeKnowin
Penthouse 808
Penthouse 808 is located in Long Island City, Queens and has some killer views of Manhattan and a perfect spot for any celebration. I highly encourage making reservations via OpenTable for your evening out as this 9,500 square foot area can fill up fast.
Westlight
On the 22nd floor of the William Vale hotel in Brooklyn you have Westlight and on the 23rd floor you have the Turf Club which an adult playground complete with drinks, foosball, lawn game, and of course beautiful sunset and views of Manhattan.
zona de cuba
The newest restaurant and rooftop to open in The Bronx is Zona De Cuba which is located on the Grand Concourse. The amount of time and planning for this rooftop oasis with a tropical feel is felt as soon as you walk off the elevator. I have said this several times but PLEASE STOP SLEEPING ON THE BRONX. Check my list of 12 Things to Do in The Bronx if you want to explore more of this beautiful borough.
Randolph Beer
Offering views of Brooklyn, beers, and a good time. This rooftop requires reservations and I highly recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, and don’t forget the sunscreen!
PANORAMA ROOM
New York City’s newest rooftop bar and Roosevelt’s Island only place offering 360 views from the 18t floor of the Graduate Hotel. If you are able to snag a spot to this new hotspot you will do so through Resy.
