A Weekend in Houston | Black-Owned Business Edition

I spent a weekend in Houston exploring Black-owned businesses through the FIRST Houston Hosts and sharing a recap!

What is Houston Hosts?

A weekend experience designed to show you some of the best of Houston's Black businesses, dining, and cultural scene specifically for Black content creators.

Who were the hosts?

A group of Houston influencers who have a deep love for Houston and showed us around for the weekend.

Where did I stay?

Home for the weekend was Embassy Suites by Hilton Houston Near the Galleria.
Great hotel option since it is close to the Galleria and downtown area, complimentary breakfast which included an omelet bar, and complimentary hour.
Address: 2911 Sage Rd, Houston, TX 77056

How did I get around?

Alto, which is a rideshare program that offers a luxury experience, clean vehicles, and trained employee drivers (not contractors). Each car is equipped with in-vehicle wifi, branded water bottle, umbrellas, and more. Alto is also available in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Houston is the 4th most populous city in the US, and it is rich in culture, history, and dining and entertainment options. This was my first time in Houston, and I enjoyed every minute of this insightful, fun, food-filled weekend.
