Summer x Lobster Rolls

I love lobster rolls year round but when temps reach over 80 degrees in NYC the craving gets real.  I wanted to share with you my list when it is time for me get a good crustacean roll!

Burger & Lobster -  This UK restaurant came to the US and showed us how to do lobster rolls the right way serving up a generous 6 ounces of succulent lobster meat.  With a large dining room and over-sized bar your wait to fulfill your lobster dreams will be short.  They are located in Flatiron and Bryant Park and easily accessible to a number of subway lines.

Claw Daddy's -  Not only do they have great lobster rolls but they also have a happy hour that is easy on the pockets.   They are famous for their Louisiana Boils and Adult Beverage Capri-Suns. You heard me correctly! They have 6 different flavors for their Adult Capri-Suns, and my personal favorite is the Sweet Georgia.

Red Hook Lobster Pound -   With much popularity they have expanded outside of Brooklyn and have several locations.  They have 4 variations of their lobster roll including BLT Lobster topped with smoked apple-wood bacon.

The Crabby Shack -  Making the trek from Harlem to Brooklyn is worth it for The Crabby Shack.  Crabby Shack is different from a typical lobster roll because there is no mayo involved, it is served hot and loaded with all types of magical spices.  They have also created a roll called a Clobster, and it is exactly what it sounds like and a mix of lobster and crab meat.  This spot is known to be a favorite amongst many celebs such as Denzel Washington and is also black-owned by a fab female duo!

Harding's - This upscale American eatery serves up a lobster roll on a soft challah roll and only during lunchtime.  Don't be me and find out the disappointing way when you pull up for dinner to only find out is on the lunch menu.

Urban Lobster ShackDiscovered this truck on a Friday afternoon near Union Square and it quickly reminded me of a lobster roll that I found at Paulies in Boston (peep my Boston guide for more deets).  My first choice is always the hot buttered roll with Old Bay aioli and the bun was toasted to perfection.
