Brunch at Sons of Essex
If you are in need of a lituation for brunch, then Sons of Essex is where it is at! Each time I have visited Sons of Essex I have had a great time. The mood is set by great food and amazing DJs. I seriously do not know how or where they find their DJs, but they better not let their secret out. The majority of the time it is Top 40 and Hip-Hop, and they typically they will promote the DJ prior to the brunch event via their Instagram account Sons of Essex is also known for having some stars in the building such as Rihanna & Drake (as in they were there TOGETHER), Pink, Bieber, Zoey Kravitz, and others. If it is good enough for RiRi, then you know it is good enough for me!
Some of my personal favorites on the brunch menu include Jose's Mornin Quesadilla (featured above), Lobster Benedict, Berry French Toast, and the Truffle Tatar Tots. My biggest brunch debate is always "Sweet or Savory?", but they have you covered for both options. Sons of Essex is not your bottomless drink type of brunch spot unless you have a large party. If you have a party of 6 or more, then you can opt for bottomless and their prix fixe brunch menu. They do have great pricing on their carafes of Bellini, Mimosa, and Bloody Mary for $25 for smaller groups. Want to turn it up a notch? Then you can opt to spike for an extra $10 bucks with your choice of Ciroc.
Sons of Essex is the perfect place for a casual turn up for brunch. With their ability to handle large parties this has quickly become a popular spot for birthdays! Seriously, there are always several people celebrating their born day. Got people visiting from out of town? This is one of the perfect NYC brunch experiences. For some reason the magical time this place gets packed is around 1 pm. If you can get there around or before that time, then you should be GUCCI!
