[Sponsored] Fall Ready: Pomegranate Cranberry Mint Julep x Maker's Mark®
This is a sponsored post for Maker’s Mark®, but the cocktail creation and opinions expressed in this post are based on my personal view.
I decided to give a fall spin on this classic cocktail by incorporating cranberries, pomegranate, and of course Maker’s Mark®. Maker’s is one bourbon that we ALWAYS keep in the house as my husband is a big bourbon drinker.
A traditional Mint Julep includes mint, bourbon, sugar, and crushed ice. The Mint Julep became such a popular bourbon drink because it was one of the first cocktails that required ice. In the early 1800's the FIRST acknowledged master of mint juleps was Jasper Crouch who just so happen to be a free Black man living in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Crouch has been recognized as an individual who has shaped the cocktail industry in Virginia. You know I had to come through with the history and to read more click here!
